Red Pepper Walnut Dip.


Red Pepper Walnut Dip is kind of Turkish taste from South of Turkey near Syrian border, it is called Hatay.

They eat at breakfast or with Turkish drink Rakı. Meyiçki.

You also visit Hatay-Gaziantep-Şanlıurfa Gezisi townes and try many meze’s.

This kind of tastes are called meze.

Turkish name of that taste is  called ‘’Muhammara’


1 Cup Walnuts.

2-3 bread crumbs.

1 tea cup Tahini.

1 cloves of garlic.

1 Table spoon of roasted red peppers paste

1 Meal spoon of hot pepper paste.

1 tespoon ground cumin.

1 teaspoon salt.

1 teaspoon black pepper.

½ tea cup lemon juice

½ tea cup extra virgin oil.


Blend all the ingredients but the olive oil in a food processor blend until mixture is smooth.

You may also leave it a little chunky if you like it that way.

Stir in oil gradually.

Transfer muhammara to a serving bowl and if desired, garnish with fresh parsley/mint.

Serve it with crudities, pita triangles or fresh bread.

Serve at room temperature.

Muhammara is also very good at breakfasts. You spread on the bread to eat.

Keep it at the jar for longer time at refrigearater.
